Born to Elizabeth and Joseph Loborec; the first of four children that included her sisters Frances and Betty and her brother Joseph.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Bill March, brother Joseph “Moonie” Loborec, husband Donald Roe, son Jack Wingerter, daughter and son-in-law Carol and Pat Cross, Granddaughter Crystal and great grandchildren Zachary, Alex and Courtney and great-great grandchild Xavier and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Richard Eizenga; and sister-in-law Marie Loborec.
Ann was known to her family as “Totsie” … this was a nick name given to her by her sister when they were toddlers, it stuck forever. She grew up in Chicago on the south side.
Her working career started as a teenager in a sugar cone factory in Chicago and ended when she retired from Walt Disney World in Florida. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, square dancing and loved flea markets and yard sales. Over the years she loved the companionship of her four pups… Nipper, Nippy, Buddy and Frick – three dachshunds and a yorkie. Frick, the yorkie, looks for her every day. She loved her family and in recent years cherished any opportunity to be with any family but especially her grand and great-grand and great-great-grand children. They affectionately called her “GiGi”.
The family wishes to acknowledge the following for the quality they added to her life over the past few years… Marcy Weiss, Clare Kelly, Stephanie Sprinkle, Anna Matias, the staff at Homecare Providers and all of her wonderful Duke physicians.
A private service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her parents at the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.
