Ann Oldham

Ann Braxton Long Oldham, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Wake County on September 25, 1946 to the late Grady Braxton and Mary Edwards Long, Sr. and was the wife of 47 years to James Walter Oldham of the home. Ann was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church. She loved to shop and cook but found her true pleasure in spending time with family and friends on Fish Fridays. She is survived by her husband of the home; daughter, Elizabeth Greeson and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Paige Greeson and Erika Greeson and a sister, Mary Beth Long of Burlington. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Grady Long, Jr. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jonathan Jenkins with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. There will be a visitation with a reception from 11:00 until 12:45 prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
