Angela Hayes

Angela Bunn Hayes, 54, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.  A native of Alamance County, she was born June 28, 1967 to the late Lloyd Ferrell Bunn and Lavana Ireland Thomas who survives.

Angela attended Altamahaw Baptist Church. She used her passion of plants and flowers as a horticulturist with A&A Plants. Family and friends would describe her as honest, straightforward and fiercely kind and loyal.  She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, traveling and loved trips to the beach.

Survivors include her sons, AJ Lewis and Jacob Lewis; mother, Lavana Thomas and stepfather, Jim Thomas; brother, John Bunn; sister, Michelle “Missy” Bunn Holt and husband Scott; nieces, Amber Bunn, Kimberly Bunn, Catherine Tutor, Victoria Holt and nephews, Patrick Holt and Anthony Holt.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Hayes and father, Lloyd Bunn.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker with the burial to follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the son’s home.
