Angela "Angel" Renee Parrott Woods

Angela “Angel” Renee Parrott Woods, 50, passed away on Sunday, May 28^th, 2023 surrounded by her children as they sang “You Are My Sunshine” during her last moments.  A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Oylen “Buggs” Parrott, Jr. and Merry Lou Aldridge Parrott.

Angel worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Alamance Regional Medical Center for over 13 years.  In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, crafting, taking care of her animals and plants, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her “love bugs”. 

Angel is survived by her children; Hayleigh Woods, Jordyn Woods (Keven), Matthew Woods (Brandi), Lindsay Edwards and Brianna Gerringer, fur baby; Izzie, grandchildren; Kaylee, Elliot, Gracyn, Lily, Olivia, twins Riley and Maggie, Brae, Jae and Zae, siblings; Lisa Parrott, Kristin Newnam (Chris), Robert Parrott III (Jessica), nephews; Will Newnam, Luke Newnam, Cole Parrott, best friend/chosen sister; Tonya Gauldin, and all of her coworkers at Alamance Regional.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert “Buggs” and Merry Aldridge Parrott, special aunt; Polly Aldridge Lewis and a niece Addie Renee Parrott. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by Bishop Danny Ouzts.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 prior to the service at the church.
