Andrew Skurzynski

Graham-Andrew John Skurzynski, 72, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Andrew Anthony and Frances Mary Vasoloski Skurzynski. He was the husband of 50 years to Wanda Nizer Skurzynski who survives.
John retired after 41 years as a Cryptologist with the National Security Agency. He was a US Army veteran spending most of his life in service to his country protecting and securing our freedoms here and abroad. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Bible Study. He was a former Eucharist minister both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and while living in Pennsylvania prior to moving to Graham. John was a train enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Wanda Nizer Skurzynski; son, Aaron Skurzynski and wife, Vanasa of Mechanicsburg, PA; daughter, Denise Bostic of Caswell County; grandchildren, Alex, Ethan, Mattie, Chole, Emily, Nick, Sam, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Andrea Day.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:00PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Briant Cullinane, OFM Conv. The burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park with military honors by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45PM on Friday at the church prior to the service and other times at the home.
