Alvin Bradfield

Alvin Dean "Al" Bradfield, 85, lost his one year battle with cancer on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Altoona, PA to the late Charles Edward Bradfield and Mildred Jane Pritts Bradfield and was the husband of 52 years to Ruth Emma Bradfield who survives. Al retired after 20 years with Svenhard's Swedish Bakery in Oakland, CA. He was a member of Bass-Masters Fishing Club and Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church, and was a US Army veteran in the Korean Conflict. Survivors other than his wife, Ruth Bradfield include his sons, Thomas Reeves, Frank Reeves and his wife, Karen Sue; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; daughter-in-law, Paulette Reeves. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Raymond Reeves. The celebration of life service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Burkes and Rev. Brian Wardlaw. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45pm at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home.
