Alta Robinette

York, SC Alta Shepherd Robinette, age 85, of McClain Street in York, S.C. passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C. Alta was born in Guilford County to the late William Rankin Shepherd and the late Lillian Frances Strater Shepherd. She was the wife of the late Ronald Newell Robinette and they made there home in Burlington for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Cates of Efland, N.C and her son, Kimball Robinette and his wife, Eleanor of York, S.C.; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and four step great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Ronald Kevin Robinette; parents and sixteen brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Dace Lewis. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
