Alner Jones

Alner Isley Jones, 93, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at The Village at Brookwood following several years of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles Lawrence Jones, Jr. and was born August 25, 1916 in Alamance County to the late Robert "R.P." and Nellie Tickle Isley. Survivors include her daughter Charlene Gray and her husband Joe and a son David Jones and his wife Denise all of Greensboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister Willie Mae Isley and brothers; Clarence R. Isley and Challis T. Isley. There will be a memorial service 3:00 PM Sunday at The Village at Brookwood. The family wishes to express gratitude for the visits and many acts of kindness shown by friends and church members from Greensboro and care given by The Village at Brookwood staff during her nearly 7 years in assisted living and skilled care there.
