Alma Byrd

Alma Hines Byrd, 88, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center. She was born February 6, 1929 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Thomas Jefferson and Carrie Saunders Hines and was married to the late James Roy Byrd. Alma was a member of Kerr's Chapel Baptist Church and taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Caswell County Home Extension Club. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Larry (Elia Ann) Moser; daughter, Linda (Orlando) Campos; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred(Glen) Dalton, Hilda (Herbert) Barker, Helen Parrott, Janie Gunn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister Hazel Roland.

The funeral will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Kerr's Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Norman Harris. Interment will follow in Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
