Alma Brown

Alma Faucette Brown, 84 formerly of Oakley St. passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 the Hospice Home. She was the wife of the late Marvin R. Brown and was born May 11, 1925 in Alamance County to the late James and Mary Boone Faucette. She retired from West Point Stevens and was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church and attended Harvest Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Susan Tommy Hurley of Burlington, a son Richard "R.B." Kay Brown of Efland, grandchildren; Ryan Hurley, Michael Hurley, Allison Hurley, Kyle Hurley, brothers; Everette Faucette and Ralph Faucette both of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers; Clifton Faucette and Luther Faucette. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Lamberth. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 9:45 10:45 AM prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter 3178 Heritage Lane, Burlington.
