Allie Boswell

Allie Frances Russell Boswell, age 90 formerly of Trail 3 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 17, 2006 at the Homeplace. She was a native of Scottland County and the daughter of the late John Robert and Ida Farmer Russell. Allie retired from the North Carolina State Agriculture Department. She was a longtime member of Grove Park Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and The Melody Maker Choir. Allie was the former president of the Senior Adults Group and a former Sunday School Teacher for the Primary Department. Allie loved her family and her church and was a precious Christian Lady. Allies heart was full of love and she shared it with everyone. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Philip Parker of Mobile, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Al and Terri Boswell of Burlington; grandchildren, Chris Boswell, David Boswell, Hunter Boswell, Philip Parker, Jr. and Allie Parker; great grandson, Braylon Christopher Boswell; sisters, Effie Lambert of Burlington, Ethel Hornaday of Liberty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Thomas Boswell; infant son, Herman Ray Boswell; parents, sisters, Eva Self, Nellie Doss and Ruby Russell: Brothers, Fred Russell and Bob Russell. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of The Homeplace and Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for all their dedicated love and support for Allie over the past years. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Grove Park Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of the son, Al Boswell, 2604 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
