Allene Young Clark

Allene Lloyd Young Clark, 98, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Twin Lakes Healthcare Center after a short illness.  She was born in Orange County to the late Charlie Thomas Young and Myrtle Griffin Young Bennett and was married to the late Carl Joseph Clark who died in 1997.

Allene retired from Liberty Hosiery and was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship where she was a former Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her sons, Carl R. “Rick” Clark, John “Wesley” Clark and wife, Janice; granddaughter, Kelli Wilt and husband, Ken; great grandchildren, Christopher Wilt, Johnathan Wilt and Elizabeth “Libby” Wilt.  Allene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 sisters, 1 brother and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Allred Clark.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bruce Readling and Rev. Randy Kidd with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:45pm Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the son, Wesley Clark’s residence.

The Clark family would like to express their gratitude to the 3rd floor staff and nurses at Twins Lakes for all of their compassion and loving care that was shown to Allene during her illness.
