Allene Hutchens Atwood

Allene Hutchens Atwood, 87, of Burlington, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 2, 2024.. She was born in Yadkin County Alamance and was the daughter of the late Henry and Leona Hunter Hutchens and was married to the late Donald Lee Atwood.

 Allene was a homemaker and a Christian Lady. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Elon. She enjoyed spending time with her family and helping others.

 She is survived by sons, Donald Craig Atwood, Jr. and Steve Lee Atwood; her brother, Gary Hutchens and wife, Penny her grandchildren, Jacob Lee Atwood, Jessica Lee Doss and Brandon Craig Atwood and wife, Kelsey Atwood; her great grandchildren, Jaxx Allen Doss, Jameson Lee Doss and Kinsley Elaine Atwood.

  A Private Graveside Service to celebrate her life will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston Salem.
