Alice Jeanette "Jean" Coleman

Graham–Alice Jeanette “Jean” Coleman, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Buncombe County, she was the stepdaughter of the late Coleman and Lillian Smith and was married for over 60 years to John Coleman, who survives.

Jean attended school in Asheville North Carolina before moving to Alamance County. Jean worked as a sales clerk from Burlington Handbags Store while they were in business. She was an active member of Burlington Assembly of God Church.

Jean is survived by her husband; John Coleman, daughter; Kristen Coley and husband, Greg and their son; Alex, son; Dennis Rich and wife, Pat, grandchildren; Doug, Kim and Pam, as well as an estranged daughter; Donna Staley, all of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home followed by a private graveside service at Graham Memorial Park.
