Alexa Jordan

Alexa Pauline Jordan, formerly of Graham, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

She is survived by her identical twin sister, Cauline Howell of Wadesboro NC, sister Olivene Hicks of Chapin SC, and brother Larry Howell of Tacoma, WA - along with nieces, nephews and great nieces in SC, WA and AZ.

She was the daughter of the late Siler D. and Minnie Howell. She grew up in Norwood, NC and graduated from Norwood High School and went on to Wingate Jr. College and graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC.

After college graduation, she and Cauline moved to Paris, France for a year to teach English to French children. They traveled extensively - to Russia, China, Mexico, Switzerland and most of western Europe.

She was a kind and generous lady who was a former Sunday School teacher, Master Gardner who started a Community Garden, 911 operator, helped coordinate donations for the local Christmas Cheer program, and retired from Child Protective Services in Graham. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and at her mountain home in Boone, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 2:00PM at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service.
