Aleen Younger

Ms. Aleen Edwards Younger, 67, 510 Rudd St. passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at her residence. Ms. Younger was born February 27, 1941 in Randolph County to the late Raymond Edwards and Viola Stinson Edwards. Aleen was a loving mother and grandmother who cared for her family. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Lamm and her husband, Alvin; a son, Rodney Younger, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Candice Smith and her husband, Kevin, and Jamie Brannock and his wife, Jennifer; five great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Ashlynne Smith, Meghan Smith, Ryan Smith, and Jordan Brannock; two sisters, Dorothy M. Black and Barbara Carol Kernodle ; and a brother, Robert Wayne Edwards, all of Burlington. Ms. Younger was preceded in death by her former husband, Lloyd Younger and a brother, James A. Edwards. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brian Ayers. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
