Liberty-Alease Patricia "Granny A" Tinnin Jeffries, 84 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late James Melvin Jeffries.
Alease enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Love, Love, Love: What a perfect name, Alease. We were so blessed to have her for 84 years. "Granny A" inspired everyone she touched with her unconditional love and bravery during hard times. She always found the good in people and didn't dwell on the not so good. "Granny A' urged others to do the same. She leaves behind so many cherished memories for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Jeffries Martin of the home and Tammy Jeffries Barnett and husband, Lawrence of Kernersville; grandchildren, Mitzi Moss, James Ransom, Tony Jeffries, Beatrice Jeffries, Julia Ferguson and Michael Martin, II; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Tyner and husband, George of Yoder, Indiana and brothers, Wade Tinnin and wife, Josephine of Liberty, Wallace Tinnin of Niagara Falls, NY and Ronnie Tinnin of Summerfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, David Jeffries and parents, Roy and Catherine Jeffries Tinnin; sister, Vera Tinnin Jeffries and brothers, Brach, Bennie and Melvin Tinnin.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Lakisha Anderson. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Vanessa Jeffries Martin at other times.
