Albert Dale

Burlington Albert Britten Dale, age 87, of the Homeplace of Burlington, 118 Alamance Rd., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Hospice Home after several years of declining health. He was born in Madison County, GA on July 9, 1924 to the late Dock Harrison and Hattie Hudson Dale and was the husband of 60 years to the late Lucy Haynes Dale. Albert was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte for 54 years. He served in the US Navy on the USS Missouri and also served in the Honor Guard as a witness to the signing of the Peace Treaty with Japan. He enjoyed visiting Burlington to watch his granddaughter show her horse, "Karate". He is survived by his daughter, Sheree Dale Crutchfield of Burlington; granddaughter, Jessica Crutchfield of Durham; brothers, Gene Dale and wife Teresa and Aubrey Dale and wife Hazel; Sisters, JoAnn Davis, Pegi Murzynski, Faye White and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Billy Dale and Hoyle Dale; sisters, Clara Booth, Thelma Glenn, Geraldine Pritchett, Frances Center, Dorothy Jowers and son-in-law, Lynn Crutchfield. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Charlotte Memorial Gardens in Charlotte by Rev. Michael Cummings. The family will receive friends at the home of Jean and Vernon Garrison at 2411 Grand Oaks Blvd. in Burlington. The famlily would like to thank all the nurses at Hospice for their loving care.
