Aileen Duckworth Hall, 87, formerly of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Friday at Carrington Place in Daleville, VA. She was the wife of the late Alvis Hurley Hall and the daughter of the late Robert William and Mary Rash Duckworth. Aileen was a native of Avery County. She was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church and, until her health declined, was active with the Golden Agers and The Ollie Moser Day Circle. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law: Jerry D. and Ann Hall of Roanoke, VA and Ronald G. Hall of Stokesdale, NC; grandchildren: Andrew Hall of Alexandria, VA and Susanne Francis of Winston-Salem, NC, and a great-grandchild, Daniel Francis. She was predeceased by her sisters: Mildred D. Leadbetter, Della Wagoner, Maude Duckworth, Madge Clark, and Vonnie Gerringer; brothers: Dillard C. Duckworth, Gurnie Duckworth, Robert Duckworth and Willie Duckworth; a grandchild, Kim Hall. The funeral will be held Monday February 19, 2007 at 11:00 A. M. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Al Trotter. Interment will follow in Bellemont United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Condolences may be sent to the family at info@lowefuneralhome.com.
