Agnes Johnson

Gibsonville – Agnes Virginia Johnson, 87, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Liberty Commons.  She was born on August 10, 1931 in Chatham County to the late Robert Edward and Mable Maggie Dixon Johnson.

Agnes was a retired inspector from Sanford Finishing.  She enjoyed farming her whole life even after retirement and was an avid book reader.

She is survived by a brother; Bobby Johnson, nieces; Debbie Gerringer, Sharon Hines, Dianne Gerringer and Ann Graves Lisa Margaret Russell, Joy Dean Markley and Rhonda Russell, nephews; Ricky Gerringer and Thomas Johnson, Tony Russell, Ricky Markley, Mike Markley, numerous great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.  Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, sister; Nancy Gerringer, Margaret Russell and Shirley Markley, brother; Clarence Edward Johnson, nephews; Joe Johnson, Johnny Johnson and Robert Gerringer.

The Funeral Service service will be held 11:30 AM Sunday February 17, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11:15 prior to the service.
