Addie Lockamy

Addie Mae Sharpe Lockamy, 87 of 3861 Mine Creek Rd. went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 28, 2006 at Edgewood Place. She was the wife of the late Aaron Maurice Lockamy for sixty-four years. She was the daughter of the late Ira Eucebius and Minnie Neese Sharpe. A native o f Alamance County, she was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Addie Mae loved her family and church, she served the Lord faithfully and now she is at home with him. She is survived by her sons; Aaron L. Lockamy and his wife Beth of Burlington, Mitch D. Lockamy and wife Diana of Angier, Terry L. Lockamy and wife Libby of Highpoint, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister; Cora Sharpe Noah , brothers; Bynum Sharpe and Dewey Sharpe. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday July 31, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 1:45pm prior to the service and at other times the family will be at the home of Aaron and Beth Lockamy, 3861 Mine Creek Rd. The family would like to express their thanks to all that loved and cared for their mother at Blakey Hall and Edgewood Place.
