"Buster" Pitman

“Buster” Burnham Joseph Pitman, 69, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born in Amesbury, Mass. to the late Leslie Everett Pitman and Violet Osborne Pitman and was married for 19 years to Linda Morene Pitman who survives.  He was a very active member of New Hope Baptist Church.  Buster served 23 years in the military, retiring as a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Army Special Forces.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Manuel and Mason Pitman, Yogani Pitman, Kelly English and husband Cliff, Kristie Brown, Jennifer Stiltner and Brian Pitman and wife Stephanie; eight grandchildren and sisters, Leigh Ann Westmoreland and Cynthia Townsend.

The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church by Pastor Randy Hobbs.  The family will receive friends from 11:45-1:45 prior to the service at the church.  A private graveside with full military honors will be provided at a later date.
