Belinda Susan Nichelson Friddle, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 8, 1948 in Guilford County to the late Carlie Edward and Helen King Nichelson.
She is survived by her husband, Randall “Randy” Wyatt Friddle of 26 years and her daughters, Stephanie W. Reid and Kimberly W. Parker; step-daughter, Anna F. Evans (Patrick); a god daughter (just like a daughter), Pam M. Oakley (Allen); a great nephew, (whom she raised like a son, and is referred as the “Golden Boy”), Stephen S. Culler II (Kayla); her grandbabies that she adored, Jessica and Kendall Reid, Case and Bailey Parker and Jennie Evans; a great grandson, Easton Yarborough; and a sister, Nancy Albea (Terry).
Belinda also considered Pam’s kids as her grandbabies too, Brandon and Kaitlyn McNeill, Dylan and Aly Oakley, Carson, Connor and Kinley McNeill; and Stephen’s kids, Greyson Culler, Kinley and Payton Coffey. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly Sheehan.
Belinda retired after 30 years with the Guilford County School System. She attended Philadelphia Baptist Chapel and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, but especially loved cooking for the holidays. If you were around, you were sure to have had her special ham delights, sausage balls or fudge, you knew without question that was on the menu! She made everyone feel welcomed in her home, making sure that they never left hungry. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandbabies.
The celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joe Chandler. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice staff and nurses for all their compassion that was shown to Belinda and to the family during her illness.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
